This study presents a critical and analytical examination of the religious and national services of Maulana Ghulam Ali Okārvi, a distinguished Islamic scholar, preacher, and reformer whose contributions left a profound impact on the religious, intellectual, and socio-national landscape of the region. The research explores his multifaceted role in the promotion of Islamic teachings, moral reform, and public awareness, with particular emphasis on his efforts in religious education, preaching (da‘wah), spiritual guidance, and community building.
The study further analyzes Maulana Ghulam Ali Okārvi’s services in strengthening Islamic identity, nurturing religious consciousness, and fostering ethical values among the masses during a period marked by social, political, and ideological challenges. His engagement with contemporary issues, commitment to the preservation of religious traditions, and emphasis on unity, discipline, and moral integrity are examined in the context of national development and social harmony.
Employing a qualitative and historical-analytical methodology, the research draws upon primary and secondary sources to evaluate the depth, scope, and lasting influence of his religious and national endeavors. The findings highlight that Maulana Ghulam Ali Okārvi’s services were not confined to religious instruction alone; rather, they extended to national consciousness, social reform, and the moral uplift of society.
