فکرِ اقبال کی روشنی میں فقر کی حقیقت
THE REALITY OF FAQR IN THE LIGHT OF IQBAL'S THOUGHT
Abstract
Iqbal’s concept of Faqr (spiritual poverty) is deeply rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah, distinguishing between worldly deprivation and spiritual self-sufficiency. True Faqr empowers a believer with self-reliance, inner strength, and divine connection, making it the foundation of Mard-e-Momin (True Believer). Iqbal rejects monasticism and passive asceticism, presenting Faqr as an active force that leads to leadership, self-dignity, and revival of Islamic values. He contrasts spiritual sovereignty with materialistic rulers, emphasizing that true power lies not in wealth but in unwavering faith and self-mastery. Through his poetry, Iqbal calls for a return to Faqr as a means to regain Muslim strength and identity.
