ETIQUETTE AND REQUIREMENTS OF INTERFAITH DIALOGUE IN A MULTI-DIVERSE SOCIETY: GUIDANCE FROM THE BIOGRAPHY OF THE PROPHET ﷺ
Abstract
The world has become a Global Hut (Global Village) by eliminating geographical boundaries. Information technology is the rule. In this mixed population, religious beliefs, material thoughts and ideas, society, language, race and other differences are common. In the presence of these differences, the unity of globalization presents the scenario of a plural society. Interfaith harmony is of particular importance in this globalization. Modern media and educational institutions can play an effective role in this. However, despite this, the forces controlling the media are proving good to be bad and bad to be good through it. Jews and Christians, who control all broadcasting institutions, newspapers, magazines and all other media in Europe and America, are publishing their false and outdated beliefs and ideas. There, they are continuously attacking Islamic beliefs and teachings, the instructions and personality of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), and Islamic rituals. Western media, especially through TV. Net and today through social media, are effectively spreading Judaism, Christianity, atheism, Qadianism and other false religions are being propagated. And they are preventing people from accepting Islam by creating various doubts in their hearts. In this situation, if we study the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), the Medina Pact is the best example of religious harmony, faith and religious tolerance in inter-faith dialogue. Similarly, Halaf-ul-Fadhuol, which aimed to protect the weaker sections from oppression regardless of religion, tribe and lineage, is also an ideal example of the Hudaibiyah dialogue.
