This research critically examines the fundamental principles and virtues of Qur’anic education as reflected in the sayings, practices, and transmitted traditions (āthār) of the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Drawing upon early Islamic sources, the study investigates how the Companions understood and implemented the divine command of ta‘līm al-Qur’ān (teaching of the Qur’an) in educational, moral, and spiritual dimensions. The paper emphasizes the Companions’ methodology in transmitting Qur’anic knowledge with authenticity, sincerity, and pedagogical wisdom. Through a detailed process of takhrīj al-riwāyāt (verification and source tracing), the research evaluates the evidential strength and isnād reliability of related reports, aiming to present a holistic and scholarly framework of Qur’anic pedagogy rooted in the earliest Islamic tradition. This analytical exploration highlights how the Companions’ approach to Qur’anic instruction continues to serve as a timeless model for contemporary Islamic education.
