PROPHETIC ETHICS AND MODERN ORGANIZATIONAL GOVERNANCE: AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

In the modern corporate world, the growing prevalence of ethical crises, corruption, and moral disintegration underscores the urgent need for a spiritually grounded ethical framework. Despite advances in corporate governance, contemporary systems largely emphasize productivity, efficiency, and profit, often at the expense of justice, honesty, and compassion. This paper explores the relevance of Prophetic ethics, derived from the Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, as a timeless model for modern organizational governance.
The study argues that the Prophetic model is not confined to personal piety but extends to social and institutional ethics, promoting Amanah (trust), Adl (justice), Ihsan (excellence), Shura (consultation), and Rahmah (compassion). By comparing modern corporate ethics with the Prophetic ethical paradigm, this paper demonstrates that the integration of Islamic moral principles into governance structures can produce more equitable, transparent, and humane organizations.
Through analytical reflection on both classical Islamic thought and contemporary administrative theories, the research establishes that Prophetic ethics offer a holistic framework for sustainable leadership, ethical accountability, and moral integrity. The findings emphasize that adopting a Prophetic ethical approach can transform organizational culture, restore human dignity, and contribute to long-term institutional success. Thus, the study reaffirms that the Prophetic moral vision holds enduring relevance for addressing the ethical void in global governance and corporate leadership.
