Abstract

Objective: The primary objective of this paper is to examine the critical role of human rights in the formation of an ideal, just, and peaceful society. In the context of contemporary global chaos and instability, this research emphasizes that the dream of sustainable peace remains elusive until the fundamental rights of all segments of society are protected and realized.

Significance: In an era marked by widespread social injustice and the erosion of human values, this research is indispensable for global peace. It asserts that lasting stability cannot be achieved through material laws alone; rather, it requires a revival of the universal moral and ethical dimensions of human dignity. By bridging the gap between divine principles and contemporary legal frameworks, this study provides a vital ideological foundation for resolving modern global unrest.

Methodology: The paper adopts a comparative and descriptive approach, analyzing Islamic jurisprudence—derived from the Quran, Sunnah, and the teachings of the Ma'sumeen—alongside international legal landmarks such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) and the Cairo Declaration. The research focuses on the core pillars of human dignity, equality, the right to life, and freedom.

Findings: The study reveals that over 1,400 years ago, Islam established a comprehensive human charter by elevating "Human Rights" (Huquq-ul-Ibad) to the same spiritual and legal significance as "Divine Rights" (Huquq-Allah). It concludes that both international declarations and Islamic teachings agree that the equitable distribution of rights between the powerful and the weak is the sole guarantee for social justice and global harmony.
