Homi K. Bhabha is a prominent Indian thinker, critical theorist, and scholar renowned for his work in postcolonial studies. He is celebrated for his profound insights in cultural research, literary analysis, and the study of colonial impacts. His ideas have left a deep impression on the international academic world. In his seminal work, *The Location of Culture* (1994), he presents complex questions of colonial history and civilizational identity from fresh perspectives. Before delving into Homi K. Bhabha’s theories, it is essential to familiarize oneself with key terms and an introduction to his writings so that readers can understand his intellectual background. *The Location of Culture* introduces a new mode of thinking that moves beyond traditional categorizations such as class and gender, attempting to reshape cultural and social theories. The book challenges existing theoretical boundaries in light of "post-" concepts destabilizing them and offering new interpretations. Bhabha’s anti-colonial essays in this book critique colonial domination, oppression, and methods of mental control. Additionally, the book covers topics such as nationalism, postcolonial literature, urban issues in the age of globalization, the study of writing and translation, postmodernism, and research on history, culture, and philosophy. In short, the book invites readers to examine cultural identity and power relations from new angles. Furthermore, this article will explore Bhabha’s key concepts, such as mimicry, hybridity, ambivalence, and the "third space," providing a deeper understanding of his theoretical contributions.
