This paper explores the spiritual and literary reflections of Khawaja Yar Muhammad Fareedi, a devoted disciple of Khawaja Ghulam Farid, focusing on his unique perception of the Murshid in the Sufi tradition. Rooted in the Chishti and Qadiri orders of South Punjab, Khawaja Yar Muhammad’s poetry and writings reveal a deep reverence for the Murshid as the embodiment of divine light and the essential guide on the path to spiritual realization. The article examines how his vision of the Murshid transcends conventional devotion and evolves into a metaphysical understanding of unity, love, and annihilation in the beloved. Through textual analysis and historical context, this study highlights the centrality of the Murshid in Khawaja Yar Muhammad’s thought and offers insight into the disciple-master relationship in classical Sufi discourse.
