Abstract
This research article critically examine the significant contributions of non-Muslim poets to the rich literary tradition of Urdu poetry. Despite being a minority, non-Muslim poets have played a vital role in shaping the language, themes, and styles of Urdu poetry. Through a critical analysis of selected poems and biographies of prominent non-Muslim poets, this study highlights their unique perspectives, experiences, and influences on Urdu literature. The article also examines the cultural and historical contexts that facilitated the participation of non-Muslim poets in Urdu literary circles. This research not only highlights the significant role of non-Muslim poets in enriching Urdu literature but also underscores the language’s capacity to transcend religious boundaries, fostering a shared cultural heritage.
