Seerat-un-Nabi (ﷺ) and Youth Training: An Analytical Study in the Context of Educational Challenges in the Modern Era

Abstract

Youth are the valuable assets of any society and the architects of the future.  In the present era, youth are facing various moral, social and intellectual challenges, including moral degradation, negative effects of the digital world, religious misguidance and mental stress. The teachings of Seerat-un-Nabi (ﷺ) provide a comprehensive guide to solve these problems. Seerat-un-Nabi (ﷺ) emphasizes the strength of faith, moral education, practical training, the importance of knowledge and encouragement for the training of youth. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) trained the youth at individual and collective levels to strengthen them socially and spiritually, as a result of which they became active members of society. In order to put these teachings into practice in the modern era, it is necessary to include Seerat-un-Nabi (ﷺ) in the education system, strengthen the family system, use the digital world positively and focus on mental health.  This study makes it clear that if the youth are trained in the light of the Seerat-un-Nabi (peace be upon him), not only will they develop moral and spiritual strength, but they will also play an important role in the development of society. This analytical study emphasizes that by making the teachings of the Seerat-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) the center of the training of the youth, the challenges of the present era can be successfully faced.
