Abstract

Any economy depends heavily on its entrepreneurs. These are the people with the abilities and initiative required to promote solid new ideas and take the appropriate actions to ensure their profitability. The potential financial gains the entrepreneur could make are the payoff for the risks taken. A "women entrepreneur" is technically any woman who plans and runs any business, typically with a lot of initiative and risk. However, the term "women-owned enterprise" is often used regarding government contracts. In this instance, the phrase suggests that the business is operated by a woman entrepreneur who also owns more than 50% of it. Women-owned businesses are essential to women's empowerment because they give them financial freedom and help to close the gender gap in the corporate world.  Supporting female entrepreneurship is crucial for boosting economic prosperity, social fairness, and gender balance. Even with progress in women’s rights, systemic hurdles like financial reliance, restricted education, and cultural standards often limit their potential. Entrepreneurship offers a path for women to gain financial independence, develop leadership abilities, and contribute to their homes and communities. Backing from governments, non-governmental organizations, and international bodies through funding, education, and policy changes can foster a more inclusive ecosystem. Tools such as microfinance, online platforms, and skill-building initiatives further expand opportunities. However, ongoing challenges like stereotypes, limited access to finances, and work-life balance issues require continued investment in education, mentorship, and networking. In the end, empowering women entrepreneurs not only drives economic growth but also brings about social change, narrows gender gaps, and inspires future generations.
