The judiciary upholds the supremacy of law and ensures that no individual is above the law. It safeguards the constitutional and legal rights of citizens, resolves disputes, and delivers justice. The judiciary plays a crucial role in maintaining social peace. It keeps a check on the government to ensure that it operates within the bounds of the constitution and the law. The judiciary protects fundamental rights such as freedom of expression, freedom of religion, and the right to life. It provides protection against injustice and ensures justice for the oppressed. The judiciary safeguards against governmental excesses and monitors law enforcement agencies to ensure they act according to the law. Additionally, the judiciary reviews legislation to ensure that laws are in accordance with the constitution. The role of the judiciary in the protection of citizens is extremely significant. In an Islamic state, the judiciary is an independent and impartial institution, whose responsibility is to provide justice to the citizens based on Islamic principles, without any pressure, and with truth and fairness.
