Abstract

Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq and Hazrat Umar Farooq (رضی اللہ عنہما) are among the first caliphs. In most books of hadith and jurisprudence, the word "shaykhain" is used to refer to both men together. On several occasions, the Prophet (ﷺ) sent military forces under the leadership of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique and Hazrat Umar to combat the enemies of Islam. Who have been mentioned in various places in the books of biography and history. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique was dispatched as the Amir of the army on the occasions of the Battle of Uhud, Battle of Khandaq, Battle of Faraza, Battle of Saria Bani Kalab, Battle of Khyber, Battle of Tabuk and Karaa Al Ghumayim. Similarly, Farooq Azam was also given the leadership of several military forces, such as Ghazwa Khandaq, Ghazwa Khyber and Jang Tarba etc. Both of these individuals rendered invaluable services in these wars, achieved great victories, and demonstrated their military prowess in these wars. The fact that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) repeatedly sent these men to various fronts confirms that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had complete confidence in the bravery, courage, and military prowess of these men. Perhaps the purpose of sending them both to different military fronts is to further improve their military capabilities. And then, going forward, he fully demonstrated these same military capabilities during his reign. And greatly expanded the Islamic empire. Our purpose in writing this article is to bring the military services of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique and Hazrat Umar Farooq to the attention of the general public.
