THE DIVERSE METHODS AND APPROACHES OF PROPHETIC DA‘WAH AND THEIR RELEVANCE IN THE CONTEMPORARY ERA

Abstract

This study examines the diverse methods and approaches of Prophetic Da‘wah as demonstrated in the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and analyzes their relevance and applicability in the contemporary world. The research highlights the comprehensive and balanced nature of the Prophetic methodology, which combines wisdom, compassion, gradualism, effective communication, and practical engagement with individuals and communities. It further explores key principles such as inviting with wisdom, delivering sincere and gentle admonition, and engaging in constructive and respectful dialogue. These methods proved highly effective in addressing the social, moral, and spiritual challenges of early Islamic society. The study also evaluates how these timeless principles can be applied to modern contexts characterized by globalization, cultural diversity, ideological conflicts, and moral challenges. It concludes that the Prophetic model of Da‘wah offers a universal, flexible, and practical framework that can significantly contribute to positive social transformation and spiritual development in the present age.
