Abstract

Orientalism is derived from the word orient used as a synonym of East literally. But as a term the word orientalism is known as a concept representing a western movement regarding the east especially Islam and the Muslim World. In other words orientalism is the multi dimension scholarly approach of the western non-Muslims scholars and researchers about Islam. Orientalism and orientalist movement formally emerged as an intellectual warfare against Islam and Muslims in 8th century. The notion based orientalist movement was organized and categorically developed in various stages. The main idea behind this movement was to create doubts in the minds of Muslims about Islam, Prophet Hood of prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and to halt the propagation of Islam in the world at large. Despite these aims and endeavors, there are still many orientalists who accepted the truth and loyalty of Islam. This research paper aims to highlights the orientalist’s confessions and proclamations especially in the context of Seerah. It will be elaborated on in this paper that despite all the hostility and hatred, the orientalists were forced to acknowledge golden characteristics enthrall by Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H after having deep insight of his Seerah. Locution and Phrases of appreciation and confessions are quoted form the reference books of orientalists for substantiation. The research methodology used is descriptive and analytical. The Qualitative Archiveal method is used for the collection of data. The Chicago Manual 2016 is used for the writing of paper and citation of references.
