Contemporary Challenges to Muslim Society in Various Fields of Life: An Applied Study of Prophetic Teachings

Abstract

This research paper explores the contemporary challenges faced by Muslim societies across diverse fields of life—social, economic, political, educational, and moral—through the lens of Prophetic teachings. The study examines how globalization, technological transformation, materialism, and moral decline have reshaped Muslim thought and practice, creating tensions between modern lifestyles and Islamic values. Drawing upon the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the paper highlights the timeless relevance of his guidance in addressing present-day issues such as social justice, family disintegration, ethical leadership, and spiritual emptiness. Through a comparative and applied analysis, it argues that the Prophetic model provides a balanced framework that harmonizes faith with practical realities. The research concludes by emphasizing the need to revive Sirah-based ethics and Prophetic wisdom to navigate the complexities of modern civilization and re-establish a morally grounded, purpose-driven Muslim society.
