“THE ESTABLISHMENT OF PROPHETIC STATE: A STUDY OF ITS INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS IN THE LIGHT OF DR. HAMIDULLAH’S SCHOLARSHIP”

Abstract

The Prophetic state shows a gradual shift from the civic community of Makkah to the structured political order of Madinah. Internally, it ensured justice, social harmony, and stability, while externally it established diplomacy and foreign policy based on peace and fairness. In the light of Dr. Hamidullah’s research, this study highlights the dual role of the Prophet’s letters (Maktūbāt), which combined da‘wah with political recognition, thus linking faith with statecraft. The findings suggest that the Prophetic model was not temporary but a lasting framework of governance and international relations, offering practical guidance for modern diplomacy and global peace.
