The biographical sketch (Khaka) is a literary genre that immortalizes personalities from the past and present by etching them vividly onto the canvas of readers' minds. Through bold and evocative strokes of the pen, these sketches elevate individuals into timeless, almost mythical figures. The art of crafting such portraits demands immense effort and skill, making the genre both profound and impactful. This paper presents a psychological and analytical review of selected biographical sketches. Among them, the sketches of Molvi Nazir Ahmed Dehlvi and Ayub Abbasi are linked to the Aligarh Movement and Aligarh Muslim University, while those of Nawab Syed Mehdi Ali Khan (Mohsin-ul-Mulk) and Maulana Zafar Ali Khan are tied to Pakistani history and the Pakistan Movement. These sketches were penned sequentially by renowned writers: Shahid Ahmed Dehlvi, Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui, Molvi Abdul Haq, and Chiragh Hasan Hasrat. Through these biographical sketches, students not only become acquainted with these personalities but also gain a thorough understanding of their contributions. The remarkable success with which these writers have engraved their impressions on readers' minds is truly commendable and worthy of admiration.
