Allah Almighty has bestowed the honor of extracting precious gems from the vast ocean of Ḥadīth compilation and arrangement upon numerous great scholars. Each Ḥadīth scholar has a unique approach, distinct perspective, and individual way of narrating traditions, which reflect his scholarly interests, deep understanding, and broad vision. To fully benefit from a scholar’s valuable contributions, one must be familiar with his principles of Ḥadīth (Uṣūl al-Ḥadīth), insights, and respected standing. Without this knowledge, one’s limited understanding becomes evident. Imam Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī (849-911) stands among the eminent scholars and profound explorers of Ḥadīth, serving as a beacon for researchers and meticulous scholars. Among his many works, Al-Khaṣā’iṣ al-Kubrā is a masterpiece, the comprehensiveness of which the author himself took great pride in. It took two decades to compile, and upon its release, it earned widespread praise and acceptance among scholars.
