PARENTAL SHORTCOMINGS AND STRUCTURAL WEAKNESSES OF THE FAMILY IN CHILD UPBRINGING: A RELIGIOUS, ETHICAL, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL STUDY

Abstract

In today's age, distance from Islamic values and religious education in homes is having a negative impact on children's education. Parents are so engrossed in modern education and worldly pursuits that they have forgotten to give their children basic training in religion, beliefs, prayers, Quran and morals. Due to lack of religious environment in homes, children are losing Islamic consciousness. Factors like parental busyness, harshness, not giving time to children, and injustice among them are creating feelings of inferiority, mistrust, rebellion and moral degradation in children. Apart from this, scolding children in front of everyone or being angry with them constantly creates negative tendencies in their personality. Lack of halal and pure sustenance and bad habits of parents also have a bad effect on children's mentality. In order to avoid all these defects, it is necessary for parents to give religious education to children from the initial stage of speaking, spend time with them, have an attitude of compassion and equality with them, and make their own personality a practical model for them. In this way, we can transform our homes into a peaceful, religious and educational environment that will be a means of beautifying children in this world and hereafter.
