This article aims to explore the intellectual and literary treatment of educational issues in modern Arabic literature. As Arab societies experienced socio-political transformations in the 20th and 21st centuries, education emerged as both a challenge and a hope for progress. Arabic novelists, poets, and playwrights have addressed various educational crises such as illiteracy, outdated curricula, teacher-student dynamics, educational inequality, and the conflict between traditional religious education and modern secular schooling. This study analyses selected Arabic literary texts that portray these dilemmas, offering a critical evaluation of their philosophical insights and creative depictions. By highlighting how literature functions as a mirror and critique of educational systems, the article contributes to understanding the broader relationship between literature and socio-educational reform in the Arab world.
