MAULANA ABDUL HAQ HAQQANI’S LITERARY WORK: A SPECIAL STUDY OF TAFSIR HAQQANI

Abstract

Maulana Abdul Haq Haqqani Dehlvi is a talented writer and scholar. He received specialized education in religious studies from home. He learned from famous personalities inculding Shah Abdul Aziz and Syed Nazir Hussain Dehlvi. He took up the task of reforming the Ummah. He is the author of several books. His most important literary effort is "Tafsir Fath-ul-Manan" also known as Tafsir Haqqani which consists of five volumes. This commentary is adorned with many notable features including the rejection of modern sects, the rejection of false sects, the use of Arabic literature as evidence, the mention of the differences of the Imams, and the description of the reason of revelation etc. The reader of this commentary will be able to reject the ideologies of ancient and modern sects and benefit from the teachings of pure religion. This is the main purpose of this commentary by the author of the book.
