This paper examines Pakistan’s potential Shari‘ah-based position in light of the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. Grounded in the principles of Fiqh al-Ma’alat (Outcome-Based Jurisprudence), Maslaha Mursala (Unspecified Public Interest), and Maqasid al-Shariah (Higher Objectives of Islamic Law), the study argues that Pakistan’s provisional support for political stability in Iran should not be evaluated through a sectarian lens. Rather, it represents a strategic and national security imperative. The paper further establishes that framing this stance in sectarian terms is not only misguided but also overlooks the broader issue of Pakistan’s national integrity. At stake is not theological affiliation, but what serves Pakistan’s security and unity in light of both reason and Shari‘ah. The research cautions that political ambiguity or neutrality at this critical juncture may create a security vacuum, which could be exploited by Zionist and Indian actors along Pakistan’s western borders. Therefore, preserving regional public interest, countering foreign penetration, and safeguarding national unity demand a principled and proactive stance—firmly rooted in Islamic political jurisprudence.
