Abstract

Ammanullah Arshad is such a brightening star of the Saraiki poetic galaxy, who has proved his mettle in all genres of poetry like poem, ghazal, Dohra, Qat'a, Saraiko, lyric. His themes comprise of pantheism, love of the Prophet (PBUH), parting, thirst, social issues, hope, human behaviors, dedication, problems faced by saraiki locale, nature etc. In his poetry, saraiki locale is reflected live and breathing in true sense. It seems has if a wise and genius human is speaking through his poetry. Whereas the growth of subjects distinguishes him from his contemporaries, his style and mature diction prove itself as well. He is such a skilled artist who knows how to convert all the color of the wasaib (Locale) into beautiful words.
