THE POSITION AND STATUS OF HAFIZ MAZHAR ALI MAZHAR IN THE TRADITION OF URDU NAAT

Abstract

Hafiz Mazhar Ali Mazhar Mazhar was a great and distinguished figure of Urdu Naat literature. His entire life was spent in the promotion of love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), religious thought and spiritual values. He was not only a poet of Naat but also a high-ranking writer, columnist and thinker. Allah Almighty had blessed him with such talents that he dedicated his pen life to Naat-e-Rasul (PBUH). Devotion, love, passion and spirituality are prominently visible in his poetry. This is why he is counted among the important and respected poets of Urdu Naat.
