Abstract

This study examines the methodological and stylistic approach of Dr. Mustafa Muslim in his seminal work al-Tafsīr al-Mawḍūʿī li-Suwar al-Qur’ān al-Karīm. Adopting a thematic exegesis model, Dr. Muslim emphasizes the unity of theme (waḥdat al-mawḍūʿ) within each surah, integrating textual coherence (munāsabāt) and structural harmony into his interpretation. This research analyzes his methodology, compares it with other thematic exegetes, and evaluates strengths and limitations in the context of contemporary Qur’anic studies. The study concludes that Dr. Muslim’s contribution represents a balanced combination of classical exegetical principles and modern analytical organization, though certain thematic determinations require greater conceptual precision.
