This study examines the foundational dawah principles governing engagement with the madū (the addressee of Islamic preaching) as articulated in Al-Furqān fī Tafsīr al-Qurān bilQurān wa Sunnah by Muhammad Sadeqi. Adopting a qualitative analytical methodology, the research investigates selected exegetical passages in order to extract, classify, and interpret the core methodological foundations that shape the author’s approach to diverse categories of recipients, including believers, hypocrites (munāfiqūn), disbelievers (kuffār), and atheists. The study focuses on how the tafsīr derives its dawah orientations directly from the integrative reading of the Quran through the Quran and the Sunnah, emphasizing coherence between revelation, reason, and lived reality. It identifies a structured framework built upon principles such as wisdom persuasive exhortation, rational demonstration, ethical dialogue, gradual reform, and sensitivity to the intellectual and psychological conditions of the addressee. The analysis further reveals differentiated communicative strategies: strengthening spiritual consciousness among believers, unveiling internal inconsistencies in hypocritical discourse, employing rational and evidentiary argumentation with disbelievers and atheists, and grounding engagement in shared human and moral values. The research concludes that Al-Furqān presents a systematic and context-aware dawah paradigm that combines textual fidelity with intellectual rigor. Its exegetical method offers an adaptable model capable of addressing contemporary ideological challenges while maintaining fidelity to the Qur’anic worldview, thereby contributing meaningfully to modern Islamic thought and interfaith engagement.
