Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (d. 148 AH) occupies a distinguished position in Islamic intellectual history due to his profound knowledge, piety, and close affiliation with the Ahl al-Bayt. His narrations are widely cited in the fields of Hadith and Islamic jurisprudence. This study focuses on the Marfu (Prophetic) narrations transmitted through Imam Jafar al-Sadiq concerning legal rulings and acts of worship. The research aims to analyze these narrations from a critical and juristic perspective by examining their chains of transmission and textual authenticity. Special attention is given to distinguishing between authentic, weak, and fabricated reports in accordance with established principles of Hadith criticism. The study further explores the juristic implications derived from sound narrations and clarifies their practical application in Islamic worship. The findings reveal that while many narrations attributed to Imam Jafar al-Sadiq are supported by reliable sources and align with authentic Prophetic traditions, some reports lack sufficient authenticity and therefore cannot serve as valid legal evidence. This analytical approach highlights the necessity of adhering to verified Sunnah in matters of worship while appreciating the scholarly contributions of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq. The study contributes to a balanced understanding of Hadith scholarship by reinforcing methodological rigor and promoting authentic religious practice.
