Abstract

Naeem Siddiqui is a distinguished  poet, prose writer, critic, journalist, and Iqbal Scholar (Iqbal Shanas) within the Urdu Islamic Literature Movement (Tahreek-e-Adab-e-Islami).Through his countless editorials, over thirty articles and essays, a monographs and poetry, he has significantly contributed to the promotion of  Iqbal’s philosophical thought. By employing an analytical and critical approach, Siddiqui has played vital role in the interpretation, propagation and defence of Iqbal’s thought. Nevertheless, no scholarly work has systematically investigated his expertise in Iqbal Studies (Iqbaliyat), leaving this area underexplored. Hence, the current study explores Siddiqui’s contributions in interpreting and defending Iqbal’s thought an integral aspect of his intellectuality that establishes him as an authentic Iqbal Scholar.
