The purpose of this research is to explore the contemporary challenges faced in understanding Deen and to highlight the interconnection between knowledge, training, and civilization in addressing these challenges. In the modern era, the understanding of religion can no longer remain confined to theological or jurisprudential boundaries; rather, it must engage with scientific, intellectual, and socio-cultural transformations. This study adopts a historical and analytical approach to examine various Islamic scholars, exegetes, and modern interpretations of religious understanding. The findings reveal that an effective comprehension of religion requires the harmonious integration of three essential elements intellectual knowledge, moral training, and cultural consciousness. Knowledge provides the theoretical foundation, training transforms that knowledge into action, and civilization ensures its ethical and social manifestation. Consequently, the research concludes that reinterpreting religious understanding within the intellectual and social context of the modern human being is crucial for the preservation of Islamic civilization and the maintenance of spiritual balance.
