Modern Political Issues and Their Solutions: A Research Study in the Light of Maqasid al-Shariah

Abstract

Modern political systems are facing severe crises including injustice, corruption, authoritarianism, violation of human rights, and moral decay. These challenges have shaken the foundations of governance and social stability. Islamic Shariah, through its higher objectives (Maqasid al-Shariah), provides a comprehensive framework for political reform and ethical governance. This research paper analyzes contemporary political issues in light of Maqasid al-Shariah and proposes viable Islamic solutions to establish justice, accountability, human dignity, and social welfare. The study adopts an analytical and descriptive methodology, drawing upon classical and contemporary Islamic scholarship.
