Abstract

Faqira Khan Faqri is an emerging Urdu poet in KP. He has been focusing on an variety themes in his poetry. His poetry is Marked for having an aggressive mode. This aggression is presented or shown towards the prevailing social trends. He is ready to openly criticize and resist whether he is talking about political elements or social ones. In addition, since, he is impressed by Iqbal's poetry, hence, there is a religious touch in his poetry and thus, he has poetically encompassed various religious events impressively. In this regard he has a remarkable skill of embodying, the allusions and references made towards different prophets in the holy Quran. The way he has described these allusions is not only a noteworthy addition to urdu poetry but he has also made him mature poet.
