Abstract

Pakistani Punjabi Film music is repleted with composers and music directors. But no one can match level of great composer and music director Baba G.A. Chishti so far. He is considered the pioneer of Punjabi Film Music industry in Pakistan. His services for Pakistani Punjabi music are unforgettable. He had explored great vocalists and singers for Pakistani Punjabi Music like great Noor Jahan, Zubaida Khanam, Saleem Raza, Naseem Begum, Mala Begum, Munir Hussain, Nazir Begum, Masood Rana and Pervaiz Mehdi. He had given the music of all Superhit Pakistani Punjab movies from 1949 to late 80s. In this article, we will throw light on the musical services of Baba Ghulam Ahmad Chishti for Pakistani Punjabi Film industry.
