Abstract

Rubai is an Arabic word meaning four. Rubai is an important and popular genre of Urdu poetry. It is a short poem consisting of four lines which is complete in itself in terms of thought and idea. The idea is coherent and continuous in all four lines and the idea is completed in the last line. Many poets in Urdu language and literature have adopted this genre of speech to express their feelings, and in this way they have fully expressed their heartfelt thoughts and intellectual aspirations. "Mr. Muhammad Naseer Zinda is a poet of great eloquence. His mastery of the art of Harchand Rubai is enviable. This article covers the different aspects of the qualities of Naseer Zinda’s rubai.
