Abstract

Human survival and civilized development depend on a balanced environment, but in the present era, problems such as pollution, deforestation, water scarcity and climate change have posed serious threats to human life. Although scientific research identifies and offers technical solutions to these challenges, scientific measures alone are not enough to protect the environment; a comprehensive moral and spiritual framework is also indispensable. In this context, the teachings of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) are of exceptional importance because he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) gave principles fourteen hundred years ago that also provide guidance for solving today's environmental crisis. These include moderation in the use of resources, avoiding wastage of water, encouraging planting and settling of trees, emphasis on animal rights and cleanliness. This analytical study makes it clear that the teachings of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) consider the environment not just a material necessity but a moral and religious responsibility, which is associated not only with worldly welfare but also with salvation in the hereafter..
